Bone Cancer Research Trust – David’s Story

We are honoured to be able to share David’s story that we captured at the Bone Cancer Research Trust Northern Conference in 2023. Initially dismissing double vision as computer-related strain, David sought the help of his optician, which after multiple referrals, led to a startling discovery of a rare bone cancer near his cranial nerve. After 13 months of treatment amid the pandemic, including surgeries and proton beam therapy, thankfully he received his first stable scan in October 2021. David and his partner Ian reflect on the experience and emphasise gratitude for timely interventions and medical support, acknowledging the profound impact on his perspective towards work and life.
